About the online timetables

Online timetables are available for the undergraduate lecture courses. Please follow the instructions below precisely to load the timetables into Google calendars so that they are automatically updated.

The Teaching Office will update the online timetables when we are informed of changes in advance but cannot guarantee that they will be up-to-date if lecturers make other arrangements or if there are last minute changes as Google can take up to a day to update the timetables. For this reason the timetables are not definitive and you must take note if lecturers or the Teaching Office tell you of any changes to scheduled lecture times.

Using the timetable links

To load one of these timetables into Google, copy the link address (either by copying and pasting the url, or by using your browser's "Copy link address" function.

Then go to Google calendars, find the "Add calendar" box (to the left of the main Calendar area), click the three vertical dots to the right of the box, select "From URL" from the menu, and paste the link address into the resulting pop-up box. You do not need to tick the "make this calendar public" option.

If you subsequently wish to remove a timetable you have loaded, go to your Google calendar "Settings" page ('cog' icon), select the "Calendars" tab, and click the "unsubscribe" link corresponding to the loaded timetable that you wish to remove.

Other ways of using these timetable links

The method described above is the only one that we currently believe to work reliably. We will, however, add further information with details of any mechanisms that we discover do or don't work with particular calendaring applications.

Please do not ask the IT Helpdesk for detailed support when using these links in any way other than as described above.

PDF Versions of the timetables

The pdf version of the timetables are available under 'Course information: Lecture timetables'.  There were correct at the date of production but will not subsequently be updated with further changes. The Teaching Office will email students when we are aware of changes.

University-wide online lecture list

N.B. THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT LECTURE TIMETABLE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS SYSTEM BECAUSE ANY CHANGES MADE TO THE TIMETABLE AFTER THE START OF TERM WILL NOT BE UPDATED AND THEREFORE THE TIMETABLE COULD BECOME INACCURATE.

The online lecture list provides information on all lectures that are held at the University, including venue and time of each lecture. As a matriculated student, you are entitled to attend any lectures (but not classes or practicals) of any degree course. Students wishing to attend lectures for a subject for which they are not registered will be permitted to do so only if there is room for them in the lecture theatre. Please check the details published by the Faculty or Department concerned before attending such lectures as you may be required to sign up in advance.
